Please bring your favorite summer item to sip or nibble on. We will have a pool to cool hot feet or a fire to warm the chill - whatever is appropriate for the weather that evening. Spiritual Retreat & Meditation Workshop w/Lou Savary
Wednesday, June 26, 2013
7:15 pm to 9:00 pm The Sanctuary
Spiritual writer and retreat leader Lou Savary will lead a mini-retreat exploring the themes of Teilhard de Chardin’s (d. 1955) thought & theology and their implications for developing a deeper personal practice of meditation. Teilhard was a French Jesuit theologian, philosopher, and evolutionary paleontologist (yes, a fascinating combination!) whose lifetime passion was to reconcile Christian spirituality and modern science. In the sanctuary, co-sponsored by Church of the Pilgrims and Iona Conversations (an Emerging Christianity conversation in DC). Free.
